Hi, I have a 2002 Honda Civic. When should I be worried about my car mileage?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Brandy Schaffels, Editor at, Inc. Hi Josias, As long as you are properly maintaining your vehicle according to the instructions in your owner's manual, there's no reason your Honda Civic won't surpass 100,000 to 150,000 miles. I personally have owned more than six Hondas in the last 30 years, and all of them went beyond 100,000 miles: my 1996 Accord was 14 years old and had 143,000 miles on it before it was totalled in a car accident, and my 2002 Honda Odyssey went 170,000 miles before our family outgrew it and decided to downsize back into an Accord last year. Proper and consistent oil changes and preventive maintenance are keys to the longevity of any vehicle. Good luck!
