I bought my Mitsubishi 3000 GT new. Over the past couple of years I've replaced my starter and more than once my alternator. A couple of years ago I had my valve cover gaskets replaced I recently heard that I'm having to replace my alternator because oil is leaking on it and shorting the wires out. When my car is just sitting at a stop light or going through a drive thru white smoke comes out of the tailpipe. My question is getting the gaskets replaced a permanent fix or do the car has seals also my car runs fine it's just that embarrassing smoke what is a permanent solution.
