My 1993 Toyota Celica GT has lost power, when I was accelerating. I had the gas pedal to the floor and it just continued to lose power until it just died. This happened to me going 30 MPH and on the highway trying to accelerate from 45 to 60 mph.
In both cases, I had to have my car towed. I have had my car in to 3 different mechanics.
They were not able to duplicate the problem and consequently can't tell me what is wrong or what needs to be done to repair it. The last mechanic has had my car for 3 weeks, continues to drive it under various conditions, but it has not done it again.
Any ideas? I'm afraid it will happen again, on the highway, and I won't be able to get off the road.
Thank you,
Trayce
