The gears start to slip when driving in regular drive and drive 3 then the Honda Accord jerks and the check engine light and transmission control sensor light come on the drive gear blinks green and the car seems to run fine other than slow take off what could be the cause of this? I drive it in 2nd gear all the way up to forty miles per hour then I switch it into drive 3 as long as I don't mash the gas the car goes but in second gear at forty my rpms are reading above 4 thousand help please?
Hi Lille, On your 04 Accord: The best thing to do when you have a check engine or transmission control sensor light is to have your vehicle professional diagnosed. This will take all of the guess work out. Manually shifting the vehicle is not addressing the problem. The professional diagnosis will include a road test to duplicate your concern and scanning of the computer to see what is setting the lights off. This is the first step to address your concern. Good luck.
