Hello, I just had a 60,000 mile service on my 2011 Subaru Outback. The cost not including the timing belt was higher than I thought it should be. I hand front and rear differentials serviced, break fluid flush, head light bulb replacement, spark plugs replaced, air filter (not cabin filter), throttle/body service and gear oil. The labor was $446.95 not including parts and fees. It was at a certified dealer with trained Subaru mechanic.
Is this reasonable?
If I felt that this wasn't reasonable what can a consumer do?
It was at the end of theday when I got back to the dealership to return their car and pick up mine. I work at a hospital and had been paged, so I was limited in my time to return to the hospital.
We discussed that the tire rotation/ alignment, cabin filter, and oil change was not needed. That the coolant was the 100,000 mile coolant. The timing belt and brakes were inspected, but I was told they did not need to be replaced. So total was $772.
