My Chevrolet Tahoe has no fan heat in front. The aux fan heat works in back. Is it a bad fuse or fan?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Gelina Aquilina, Service Advisor / Mechanic at You can start by checking fuses/relays. If that's not the issue there are quite a few internal componants that can fail like the blower motor, resistor or blend door motor.

Helaine Kurot, Owner/Technician at 360 Automotive This vehicle has two separate fans, one for the front and one for the rear. Many times the blower motor resistor will get contaminated with moisture and fail, causing the blower motor to not work. Both the blower motor and resistor are under the passenger side of the dash. You may be able to see something obvious on a quick visual check underneath, or you can take it to a shop for diagnostics and repair.
