I would like to know how to reset the change your oil message that I keep getting on my 2008 Suzuki XL-7. It says that my oil is at 5% and the message comes on every time I start my car, even though I have plenty of oil

Gail Dunn, Owner at Women's Automotive Connection I do not know where you get your oil changed, but they should reset it then. If they do not have the capability, you will need to take it to the dealer to reset. Most vehicles show some sign when they need oil change and should be reset at that time, so that you when to service again. If you have not changed your oil within the last 5000 miles, that is why you are getting that message and should have that service done.

Gelina Aquilina, Service Advisor / Mechanic at Press the vehicle information button on the driver information center (DIC) until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays. Press and hold the Set/Reset button on the DIC for more than 5 seconds . The oil life will change to 100 percent.
