Malfunction Indicator Lamp Results: ON Diagnostic Trouble Code: PO133, O2-Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 question is, can I do the repair on my 2000 Ford Ranger? or should I go to a qualified technician?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Amelia, Yes, you can replace O2 sensors yourself, make sure you use PB blast penetrating oil so they don't break of at the threads in the exhaust system.

Helaine Kurot, Owner/Technician at 360 Automotive Depending on how rusted the O2 sensor is in the exhaust pipe, you should be able to change it yourself. If the sensor is rusted in pretty good, you will be much better off letting a qualified technician do it.
