Helaine Kurot, Owner/Technician at 360 Automotive It should take 5-40. The oil needs to meet VW 502 00 specifications. This will be listed on the back of the bottle of oil. It should be listed as manufacturer approved either through Castrol syntec (black bottle) or Mobil 1.
