When driving my 2005 Acura MDX in wet/rainy conditions, the front wheels lock up for no reason. I'm not applying the brakes, The wheels just lock up & after a few seconds they free themselves up. It's an accident waiting to happen! It's now happened twice within a 4 day period. Is it related to a bad sensor on the antilock system or is it something in the AWD set-up ???

Mike,
I recommend you have that looked at by a professional because you may need to replace your brake calipers or master cylinder
Danger! Danger!
Do not drive your car.
It is an accident waiting to happen.
Have it towed to your shop of choice to have it diagnosed and repaired.
Could be a combination of things going wrong. ABS system and mechanical parts. This is really dangerous.
It is possible that you have a bad sensor or water getting into the wiring where water should not be. Take it to the shop and get it properly diagnosed.
Keep in mind that if it only happens when it is raining out, the tech is going to need the vehicle on a day when it is raining as it is very hard to fix a problem if it can not be duplicated.
Mike, On your 2005 Acura, Safety First! Do not drive a vehicle that the wheels may just lock up. I would recommend getting the vehicle towed to a shop for further diagnosis. Good luck.
