With my Dodge Caravan, when I have my headlights on and am making a left hand turn with blinker on it, sounds like it is going to short out. Now I'm noticing that my brake light is also coming on periodically. What could be the problem?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Helaine Kurot, Owner/Technician at 360 Automotive It sounds like you have an electrical issue going on. As a 2014 vehicle, it should be covered under warranty. Take it back to the dealer and let them figure out whats going on.

Barb Petrey, President - DBK Enterprises Inc at Jiffy Lube If the brake light is coming on it is indicating that there is a low level of brake fluid or your emergency brake is out. open your hood and look for the transluescent container, usually found on the fire wall in front of the driver position. If it is low it is time to see a brake specialist as a low brake fluid condition means either you have a leak or your pads are wearing. See a mechanic for service. can't help with the light as I would have to see it.

Colleen McGee, Driving Instructor at Americas Driving School Hi Shannon If your blinker is clicking faster then the blinker light is about to burn out. The brake light coming on means your van is running low on brake fluid. This could be because your brake pads are worn down and need replacing. Gook Luck!
