I have a Service Engine Soon light lit on the dash. I have an OBDII scanner that is showing the light is from a fuel tank sensor (high side). Clearing the code does not work, it does return. When I fill the tank up, the gauge will sometimes go to "E" and the fuel light will come on, even though I know it is full. After about 4 or 5 gallons burns off, the gauge starts to level properly but the service light stays on. I live in Pennsylvania, where a vehicle will not pass inspection with a Service Engine light on. First, I have seen other Pathfinder owners who have complained of this issue, is there a recall or repair from Nissan? Second, if not, what is involved in fixing this problem? Thanks!!

Paul,
You may have a failed fuel sending unit, or the float in the tank my be faulty.
