Hello. I am wondering if I have a serious problem with my emergency brake. After releasing the brake and heading out on the road I hear a very little squeaking noise. It is coming from the back of the car. If is raise and lower the parking brake handle a few times the noise goes completely away. Is this a big concern or should I just live with it. I don't want to cause any damage to the brakes. Thank you.

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Brad, Your emergency brake release may be slightly damaged, the light scraping sound may be caused by contact to the rotor. You can lube the cable which may allow for free travel.
