Hi I would like to put aftermarket fog lights on my 2005 Nissan Altima. When I bought this car new I did not choose the option at that time. I know I would have to change the multifunction switch to one that has the fog mode option. First is the wiring at the old switch? How would one change the switch from one type to another?

Helaine Kurot, Owner/Technician at 360 Automotive The wiring for both the switch and the fog lights should be present on the car already. Its been a while since the last conversion, but i'm pretty sure there is only one connector on the car, and it is already wired for it, it just a matter of pulling the switch out and swaping it. Part of the steering wheel/ column may have to be dissassembled. to replace the switch. Make sure you disconnect the battery first. Order the kit through Nissan, makes life a LOT easier.
