Where is the heater hose on the 99 lexus rx 300. I am trying to do a coolant flush and i can not see it.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Emma Silvera, co-owner at Star Motors Hi Nicole, There are two heater hoses that go into the firewall behind the engine. However, it is not advisable to disconnect a heater hose to flush coolant. Manufacturers recommend coolant replacement or coolant exchange on their service schedules. This is accomplished by a complete drain and refill with the manufacturer's specified coolant (in some cases, a manufacturer will post procedures through Technical Service Bulletins to "flush" a cooling system with shop equipment that has safe, non-invasive adapters to connect into the cooling system). Hope this helps! Thanks, Emma
