If you drive on icy and snowy conditions in the winter I highly recommend you purchase winter tires for the winter and then run all-season tires during the summer.
I sincerely feel that the tires on a vehicle are one of the most important parts. Please remember that the tires are the only part that touches the ground. It is so very important that your vehicle has the best grip & traction as possible.
I also drive a CRV in the winter. I run Cooper Weather Master ST/2 in the winter and they do a great job keeping my SUV gripping the road.

If you're looking for a great all-weather tire that performs like a snow tire in the winter and doesn't need to be removed in the summer check out the Nokian WRG3 tire from Finland. Nokians are sold through independent tire dealers and were developed from their snow tire line into an all-weather tire that will stay pliable and grip below the 38 degree threshold that affects all-season tires. We have sold these tires for years and many of our customers won't purchase any other brand. Check them out at www.nokiantires.com.
