I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2wheel drive 4.0 engine automatic transmission it has about 161000 miles and had been sitting up for about 8 months to a year and I am having trouble with it shifting gears. It goes in to first gear fine but it seems to take time for it to shift into second gear. It has only shift to 3rd gear once. I have changed the transmission speed sensor, I havent had any parts changed located inside the transmission. What could possiblely be the problem?????? Please let me know all the possibilities. I'm really trying to get an honest answer so I can get back rolling. :)

Tabatha,
You may need to have your "AB" shift solenoid replaced, this is a small sensor just on the inside of your transmission when the pan is removed.
