My car makes a static or hissing sound (like radio left on no station) inside the cabin but coming from the engine area. When I shut the car off you can hear the noise slowly stopping.......almost like a releasing pressure sound. About 6-8 seconds after the car is off, the hissing fades out. Could this be an AC problem?

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Danette, Typically, what you may be hearing is a normal operating characteristic of your a/c condenser decompressing when the system shuts down. Hope This Helps!1 A. J. Valle
