I had to replace the front and rear mounts because of the vibration. No improvement and my mechanic (who specializes in Hondas) cannot find what is wrong. Can you help?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Yury, Thank You for writing into AskPatty!! If you are experiencing vibration issues after replacement of motor mounts, you may need to have your tires inspected. With limited information, I am not sure if you are feeling vibration only at idle or highway speeds. Thank You for writing into AskPatty! A. J. Valle

Judy Curry, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing at Currys Auto Service Yury, In addition to the Front/Rear Engine Mounts there is also an Engine Mount on the Drivers Side and a Transmission Mount on the Passenger Side that COULD be the cause of the vibration. Another cause of vibration while under acceleration is a bad inner tulip joint on one of your front axle shafts, that makes the front end feel like it’s going left/right while accelerating.
