Does Chrysler offer an extended warranty that can be purchased through their dealers. I am getting mixed answers in three different states.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Cherie Watters, President of Sales and Marketing at Hi Pat, Yes Chrysler offers extended warranties that can be purchased through their dealers. What is sometimes confusing is who the actual administrators of the warranty company are. Some manufactures do not administrate their own warranty plans; they use a warranty administration company to process policies and claims. When buying your car, ask the person completing your paperwork for the Chrysler factory extended warranty plan. The plan may have a different administrator but should still be the Chrysler warranty. You can always check Chrysler's web site for additional information. Hope this information helps. Keep us posted.

Patricia Algier , Owner at Valley Dealer Exchange Inc Any Most Dealers Sell an aftermarket warranty on used cars and some Dealers even offer a factory extended warranty. Just make sure you find out what is really covered. "Stated coverage" is what you see is what you get so you need to read the whole contract to see what parts are covered . "Inclusive" means everything is covered except what is spelled out in contract. They are the better warranty but harder to get on a higher mileage car

Patricia J Roberts, Director Business Development at, Inc. Visit the Chrysler manufacturer website which should provide the answer to your question. You can also call the Chrysler customer assistance center. All new car and used car dealerships have the option of selling extended warranty contracts to their customers. Some are offered through the manufacturer and some are offered through an outside company. And each state has their own regulations on extended warranty service contracts.

Chris Walsh, Owner at Consolidated Automotive Services of indiana Here is what I learned from Chrysler 2003-2005 7 year transferrable warranty 2006 to 2009 Lifetime warranty for original purchaser non transferrable 2010 and newer 5 year 100,000 mile warranty transferrable. There is no Extended warranty program offered by Chrysler. Chrysler dealers may offer an extended warranty but it is through a 3rd party warranty company. not Chrysler.

Jessie L Thatcher, F&I and Sales Specialist at Reynolds and Reynolds Company (Retired) Every manufacturer has extended service contracts offered for their vehicles at their dealerships. The problem you are encountering is that the dealer makes more money on an aftermarket warranty package then on a factory warranty. Insist on the factory backed program and you will be much happier in the long run.
