I have a Pontiac GrandPrix GT, and my question is what to do when the whole section of the gears including the cup holders gets hot more than normal... I am thinking it could be the O2 sensors or the main box of the mufflers is touching with the motor. what do you think it might be?

Judy Curry, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing at Currys Auto Service Marina, this is a tough one to answer without checking out the car. I would recommend taking to a trusted Ask Patty Certified dealer to correctly asses it. Based on what you told us, we would measure the catalytic converter temperature first. best, The Curry's Team

Kerri Papajohn, Marketing Director at USA Sealants, Inc. This could be related to a number of issues depending on the miles (which were not referenced). Since the temperature is in question, I would have a mechanic gauge the catalytic converter temperature to get an accurate reading.
