We replaced the battery about 6-8 months ago. The positive cable had some corrosion on it so we bought some felt pads and some kind of anti-corrosion stuff to apply to it when the battery was replaced. We had not had any problems until today. This morning I could not get the car to start right away. It turned over but did not start. The second and third time I tried it just clicked. I tried again and it started right up. I drove to work, about 15 miles with only the headlights on (it was dark). Went to work and came out about 9 hours later. It did exactly the same thing. Drove home and stopped at the local Auto Zone and had the battery and alternator tested. They seemed fine. The car started right back up again. Any idea what might be wrong?

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Linda, I would check the battery post where the connection is made, inspect the cables attached insure they are not loose. If not loose it the post, also check the connections that are clamped right at the connection. Sounds like you may not have a full connection, in relation to your battery cable to the post.
