I have a 1991 BMW 525I series and have used Lucas oil stop leak and it did not work. If I used your rear main sealer would it work on my car and how many days would it take before I noticed that I would no longer see oil leaking.

Hi Bill,
Ahhhh the magic cure. Unfortunately, there is no crystal ball to guess if the additive will or will not cure your leak. If it is going to work, you should see results fairly quickly. No matter what you try, the results you see are all relevent to how bad the seal is leaking. The real solution, which you are aware of is to actually repair the seal.

Dear Bill,
I would recommend that you have a technician diagnose what's causing the leak and have that fixed. As I'm sure you already know, you don't want to run your vehicle with low oil.
