Michelin Xice2 winter tires is recognized as a top 5 winter tire. However, consumer reports claims that the tire does not fair well on wet or dry ground. What does this mean exactly? Not sure how it's a top 5 tire and not fair well in these areas.
This tire has been formulated and designed for winter driving. Ice and snow. This is not a good choice for a market like Arizona, since we do not encounter this type of weather. This is why it doesn’t fair well on dry ground. There are tires formulated for wet driving as well, therefore it will not rate high on wet or rain road conditions. When we lived in Colorado, we ran two sets of tires since the winter was ice and snow and the summers were a lot like Arizona.
I hope this answers the questions.
