My 1999 Honda CRV, with 113,000 miles, driver side window motor is broken. I have been given a quote for $250 parts from a nearby mechanic. Is that a fair price?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Kati, It may be your window motor or your actuator that has failed, either way that is a fair market price for the repair.

Barb Petrey, President - DBK Enterprises Inc at Jiffy Lube Shop around for a few more estimates before deciding

Diane Larson, Owner/Manager at Larson's Service Hi Kati, You may want to call for another quote, if $250 was for the part only. Have a Fun Day! Diane Larson :)

Laurie Sarno, Co-Owner at Super Girls Auto Hello Kati- if it is a genuine Honda part- than that is not unreasonable- thanks Super Girls

Pat Fleischmann, Director of First Impressions at Community Tire Pros & Auto Repair Kati... Yes its a fair price. It comes as a window regulator and motor combined as a unit.... Much Luck!
