Hi, It seems that anyone with a wrench and a cash register can call themselves a mechanic. Is there a website or some other source used for rating mechanics so you know you are dealing with reputable people? I do not always find the BBB to be reliable and they do not always list businesses I am interested in.

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Deb, You can find Female Friendly dealerships on the Ask Patty website. You will find that people can rate these locations, so you can find out what people really think of them. You can also look up shops by your zip code on the ASE (automotive service excellence)site to find out if they have certified technicians at your area shops. This does not guarantee a good reputation, but you know that the technicians have training to do their jobs. That site is http://locator.ase.com/blue/ Good luck with your search.
