This may not be the right place on the site to ask this question, but here it goes . . .
My friend is thinking about starting a car repair business that will be geared toward women. I am researching whether this will be a viable option for her and what she needs to do to get started. Do you have any suggestions on model business plans or on any other resources that will be helpful to start the process? I have been searching on the internet but have not found any model business plans of this type. Any suggestions in this regard would be greatly appreciated!

I always go to the Harvard Business School web site. They have a multitude of information sources and classes that can be taken by everyone. And another suggestion is to go to the local Business School of any university. Most have students who would be happy to work on a project like this one. And if you know of anyone who has started a small business, they would be another resource.
The automotive industry is very large. There are about 400,000 auto aftermarket locations in the USA versus about 17,000 new car dealerships. There is a lot of opportunity for everyone.
Good luck on your quest.
