Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Annbec, If you replaced the EGR and the light still comes one, then most likely the EGR is not bad, but there*s a problem making the EGR read bad. Did you have a technician replace this part? If so, take it back to the shop. Their diagnosis was not correct. There is a lot more to reading a scan tool than just replacing the part that the code is reading is bad. Many times there can be another problem. The code also needs to be cleared after the repair to see if it comes back...was this done? The light does not go out by itself. Take a look at this may help you. Lori Johnson
