I have a 2003 Kia Rio auto. Last week when I turned the engine off and all the doors locked and I could not open them. I had to call the RAC to get me out of the car. If the car was on fire I would not be able to get out. What could be wrong? Geoff.

Geoff my guess is that you have a serious electrical problem. It is very hard to diagnois without testing the vehicle. I suggest you get it to your Kia dealer and have it checked out.

I do believe that most vehicles that have electric locks can still manually be opened. If your vehicle cannot, then this does sound like a problem and I would suggest that you may want to ask the dealership what your options are for safety reasons.
