I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix with 110,400 miles and when I drive the car it will run perfectly fine however, out of nowhere the car will just shut off and sometimes it will take about 10 minutes before it will turn on.... Do you know what may be the problem?

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA Shannon, This stated drivability concern can be caused by a number of issues. To help narrow your concern; fuel pump, cam shaft position sensor, and throttle position sensor can be named as a few items to look at. If you have a check engine light, the codes can be reviewed for further diagnosis. With limited information it is difficult to pinpoint the actual cause. AJ Pierce
