Hi "patty!" I am interested on your take as to gift giving for female car buyers, ie dealerships giving appropriate gifts to women as an additional thank you to female consumers! Two thumbs up? or a waste of $? What's your take? Thanks in advance...
If my dealership sent me an extra holiday gift I would be very flattered and it would definitely ensure my continued loyalty. I think a nice little gesture is always appreciated. It's more about the thought rather than the actual gift. Even a fancy cookie wrapped in cellophane, or a small attractive box of chocolates, or a little sampling of some gourmet coffee would all be great. Even spend $5 on each and send a $5 starbucks card.
Now THAT would be great!
I wholeheartedly support this.

It*s always nice to get a little something extra, but you have to be sure it is backed up by people who know how to offer the female consumer great service, respect, and don*t think that a pink umbrella is going to offset any bad sales or service experiences.
The women who enter a dealership should receive the same high level of treatment and service that is offered to any and all potential customers.
Listen, listen, listen and fulfill their needs and requirements. Then if you want give me a nice gift when I respond to your complete package...that would be OK. But the men might begin to feel left out.

Thank you for visiting AskPatty.com.
Each customer is different, but over all I believe that the female buyer does appreciate any extra gesture of a sincere thank you. When I was a Customer Service Manager at a dealer we went with the after sales gift, which we sent to the customer about 10 business days after delivery and those seemed to be very appreciated.
