I have been smelling gas after driving my car and turning the engine off. Burnt gas. I went to a mechanic and he said something about a valve or transmission or something like a gasket leaking. He fixed it but I still smell it. I don't want to take it back to him b/c he showed poor workmanship. Can you tell what is going on from what I telling you.

Adel,
Unfortunately, I cannot diagnose your problem without actually inspecting the vehicle. I can tell you that this does not sound like a safe situation and I recommend that you have this checked out as soon as possible. If you do not trust your previous mechanic, Ask Patty has a list of female friendly dealerships that may be able to help you. If none of them are in your area, ask your neighbors or friends who they trust with their vehicles. Once again, I would not wait with this problem. Please have it checked out before you do any more driving.
