This is a common problem that people have. If you notice, once you park your vehicle if you turn your steering wheel a little it locks.
The only way to unlock it is by turning your key in the ignition.
Here's what usually happens. When people park their vehicles after making a turn, the steering wheel locks on it's own after removing the key from the tension of the wheels being turned.
If you always parked your vehicle with the wheels pointing straight ahead you may never encounter this problem.
In order to get your key to turn in the ignition, you have to jiggle the steering back and forth while turning the key. This takes the pressure off the steering that has been parked with the wheels turned.
There's nothing wrong with parking the vehicle this way, it can just be hard to turn the key without playing with the steering wheel. Be very careful turning the key, you don't want to break it off in the ignition.
Hope this helps.
