I have tried every recommendation possible I think concerning an engine light that just wont go out. It goes out for about one week and like clock work two days after I fill up the gas tank the light comes back on. replaced spark plugs, oxygen sensors, cleaned out air filters, and hoses leading to air flow. The only way the light goes out is if I go to a station (charged) to get them to clear the light and it comes right back on with in 7-10 days. Replaced gas cap also, some thought maybe the ethnal in gas may be causing the light to come on. is that really a possibility?
please help me to figure this out.
When you go to your technician, you need to have the problem properly diagnosed and corrected before they clear the code. Sometimes finding the problem can be difficult, or it could be more than one problem. If your technician is not correcting the problem, you may want to try a different technician. Having the problem properly diagnosed will save you money in the end - you will not be replacing good parts.
