Ballwin, MO 63011 Barbara Keeley 1516 Windwood Hills Dr. Wildwood, MO 63021 Dear Steve Maher, Building a successful relationship with each customer is most important. A quote taken from St. Louis Dealer Spotlight, Suburban Journal 2006, makes me laugh when I continued to read the Jay Wolfe Toyota Spotlight article which credits the staffs ability to make every encounter more about the customer and less about the sale and make everyone comfortable. Jay Wolfe Toyota of West County's partnership with Ask Patty represents an increased commitment to the female car buyer to provide a safe and comfortable buying experience. Taken from the website, a website with automotive advice for women. You have a bad egg who has ruined your company philosophy. Here is my story: On Saturday April 12, 2008 my husband and I visited the West County store, at approximately 6 p.m. We were driving through the parking lot to browse assuming the store was closing. We were waved into the building by one of the salesmen stating that they were busy with other customers and we could come in. After chatting, it was determined that I was interested in the RAV 4, so the salesman, Brandon Fry, offered to get one from the back that was loaded with options. We took it for a drive and Brandon offered us to come in and sit down and run numbers. We stated we were interested in a lease, no money down. He came back to us with a very high offer, with money down. My husband and I have just leased an Infinity EX35 (MSRP $40K) for less than the offer Brandon gave us for the RAV 4 (MSRP $31K.) We stated this to Brandon. Brandon then suggested we make an offer on a vehicle with fewer options. We tried to explain that we were interested in the current vehicle I just drove, but at a better price. Brandon suggested that I go over to the Infinity dealer and order a pink one and support Breast Cancer. That there was nothing else he could do for me. Needless to say my comfort level was pushed to its limit after being completely insulted and harassed. I then proceeded to walk out. Brandon knows nothing of my personal health issues, nor does he have a clue what a sexist statement that was, and it was completely directed at me. I sensed he was irritated, and maybe he would best be served going back to selling mattresses. My husband and I own several businesses in the West County, St. Louis metropolitan area. We go out of our way to treat our customers appropriately. We will go out of our way to share this statement and harassment with our friends and customers and be sure they do not visit you business. Maybe Brandon should volunteer this June for the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer walk and actually support the foundation himself. I think pink is his color. If you would like further details regarding this incident you may reach me at my cell phone 314-303-9353 Regards, Barbara Keeley 1516 Windwood Hills Dr. Wildwood, Mo 63021 Cc.
