My engine light came on and stayed on. I just filled my car with gas and it jerks on acceleration like it has bad gas in it. I put gas treatment in but it started doing it again today. It runs great once it gets going. The gas mileage is poor, it took three tries to start car one day. I have had this car for 4years and never had spark plugs changed, could it be I need my spark plugs changed?

Pam,
If your engine light is on, the only way to know for sure why, is to bring it in to the dealership and have it scanned for codes. It's possible you have a vacuum leak, which can usually be corrected pretty easily. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend a tune up around 100 thousand miles. This includes changing spark plugs and wires. Check your owner's manual to follow the service schedule for your vehicle.
