My 2003 GMC Sierra's 12 Volt Accessory Plug is not functioning. Which fuse controls this plug? I had an accessory plugged in, and it worked fine for a while then quit altogether.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Stacey, It looks like a 20amp fuse for the auxiliary power is in the fuse box under the hood. Usually there is a diagram on the inside of the lid or the names are actually written next to the fuse. If this is not the case, use your owner's manual to find the fuse. There is a section in your book that tells all about the fuse box locations and what each fuse is. Also, make sure that it's not your device that you were using. Plug something else in that works so you know it's the vehicle and not the component. Make sure that you replace the fuse with the same size fuse. If the fuse is not bad, then you'll need to take the vehicle in and have the electrical system checked. Lori Johnson www.ladiesstartyourengines.net
