Hello, I was borrowing a friend's car, a green volvo. I took it to a car wash and afterwards I noticed stuff on the hood. They said that they think someone splattered acid on it, but I never saw it before. The paint looks a little messed up, similar to how you mess up nail polish on your fingers (wrinkled and dry). Also, there are some slight scratches on the bumper. How and where can I get a touch up for a good price in Los Angeles? Thanks.

Debbie Lee, President at Professional Car Care Charito, go to any local body shop and they can give you an estimate on cleaning or painting... they can tell you which you need.. Debbie Lee

Wendy Engelberg, Director of Operations and Founder at Autovisuals Yikes! Sorry to hear! This doesn't sound like it happened at the car wash. Unless the car was repainted, there is nothing that the car wash uses when going through the machines that is strong enough to do that. As far as finding a touch up person, the best thing to do is to go to your local service/parts department and ask for the contact info for their touch up guy. These people come by the dealerships once per week. Now, if you want to go directly through the dealership, it will be much more expensive, however, many of the dealers will guarantee the work if you are not happy. You will have to ask. Airbrush touch ups typically start at around $65. Good luck!
