I saw an ad for CarMD. I have a ten year old Honda Accord. Is this product a good investment? Thanks

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Daria, This is a scan tool to read codes set by the check engine light. While it seems handy, I'm not sure that most people would be able to use it in a way that is helpful. Sure, you're able to get the code, but unless you've had training in what that code means, it probably won't mean a lot to you. There are places now that will connect a scan tool for free and tell you what the code means. If you're having problems with your Honda and the check engine light keeps coming on, then maybe you would like to invest in this to read the codes yourself. Many times the component that sets off the check engine light may not be bad, but something else is causing it to give a bad reading. It takes a trained technician to understand this kind of problem. Good luck in making your decision. Lori Johnson
