2002 gmc sierra ext.cab pickup truck...rotting rocker panels and dealer not calling it a defect

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Glenn, I'm not sure what your question is, but if you think that the dealer should take care of your problem and isn't, you could contact the manufacturer to make sure what they're telling you is true. Your vehicle is out of warranty I believe, and rust is a hard thing to get covered at this point. Depending on where you live, if they salt during the winter, sometimes vehicles are more prone to rusting. Try the manufacturer directly. If they say it's not covered then you'll have to contact a body shop to find out the cost for repairs. Lori Johnson
