I have a 2006 Toyota FJ Cruiser and though I love the cruiser, it has some big gas cost. As a traveling saleswoman, I have put 60K miles on it in the last 1.5 years. WOW! I need to get out of this vehicle now. However, I want a Mini Cooper, but I am afraid that the Mini will not have enough room. I have two children in their teens. Can you recommend a couple of vehicles I might consider that would last for a long time and allow me to transport the children without giving up style.
Thank you for your inquiry.
There are several vehicles that come to mind that would probably work perfectly for your needs. There is the Honda Fit, the Honda Element, the Chevy HHR (SUV), the Ford Edge (SUV), the Nissan Versa, and the Jeep Liberty just to name a few.
All of the vehicles I mentioned would be very economical however, I would probably look at the foreign made vehicles like the Honda, and Nissan first as they are built to last.

You have a lot of options. Because you have teenage children you need more room than what you can get from a Mini. Check the fuel ecomony standards for a variety of vehicles. You can get a really great sedan, a Malibu, Focus, Camry or any other higher mileage vehicle. If you need more space when you go on vacation, rent a bigger car just for your vacation. Drive a lot of vehicles and take your time and you will get a great deal. Good Luck!
