Why do you think my mom lets my dad check the oil in her car for her, i really need an opinion and one more opinion is why do you think she sit in her car one morning while he checked it for her. I have always been amazed at why women let a man check their car oil for them so if you all know i would appreciate if you would let me know.

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Patty Streeter, at Josh, I think you need to ask your Mom this question. She may not know the proper way to check it herself or this is just one of the things your Dad does for her. Only she can answer this question. Men and women both tend to neglect this important check as well as regular oil changes, tire pressure checks and doing the service intervals recommended by the auto maker in the manual that comes with each vehicle. Doing these simple checks and following the service intervals will help prevent costly major repair problems, insure safety and keep your vehicle running with the optimum fuel economy.
