I live in a relatively-snowy region of upstate NY. I'm an avid skier camper, hiker, etc., and I'm an active member of two ski clubs. I do not have any children. I would love to buy a seriously-gas-efficient vehicle, but the last time I had a small sedan, it did very poorly during the aftermath of a snowstorm- I park on the street. While my Blazer is perfect for me in this climate, and I can carry around all my gear, gas is expensive. My saving grace is that I work from home, so I have no commute. I am looking to buy a car in the next month. I can only afford used right now, so the new hybrids are simply out of my price range, and I need more room than a sedan or hatchback can give me. Alas, I can't afford the Toyota Matrix. What models would you suggest for me?
