To remove the blade insert, you need to pull on the insert from the bottom of the blade. This will be the end closest to the windshield once you raise the arm away from the windsheild.
Make sure when you put the new inserts in that they slide and catch in all of the little "claws" on the wiper so that they are tight.
You'll see that there are caps on both ends that should come off. They recommend replacing them, but I would try to re-use them if you think they'll stay on. Hope this helps.
