The year of the car is 1999. The cruise only works one time after starting up and driving the car, then setting it. When I wish to reset the cruise control I have to use the brake first then set the cruise and it works. If I do not use the brake it is does not function. How do I correct this please?

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Ann, It sounds like you may have a problem with the switch or the cruise control servo/actuator. You will need to take this to a shop and have the system tested to make a proper diagnosis. The parts cost could be anywhere from $40-$200, depending on the problem. Hope this helps. Lori Johnson
