The engine cooling fan runs as soon as the engine starts, is this normal.

The cooling fans on this vehicle are run by the computer. They are usually turned on when the engine reaches a certain temperature.
The only alternative to this is if you have the a/c or the defroster on, then it comes on automatically.
If you start the vehicle and neither of these items are on, then a cold engine should not turn the cooling fan on right away.
You will need to have a technician diagnose this problem.
