I am a delivery driver and the last few years have had trouble skidding in bad weather. What type of tires would you recommend? Should I get snow tires for the winter? If so, all 4 or just front or just back? Is it ok to use those tires year round or would I have to change them in warmer weather?
If you have been skidding in the snow, you definitely need snow tires.
Please get four winter tires. I will give you a visual aide in what can happen if you put winter tires on the front and summer on the rear. It would be like wearing one a heavy winter boot on your right foot, and a tennis shoe on your left foot. Try running up a slippery driveway and stop quickly.
The price of winter tires is minimal compared to skidding off the road. Every year I have at least one customer who insists on either running four
all-season tires or winter tires on the front and summer or all-season on the back. It skids off the road during a big storm and then car gets towed in and needs big dollars to be fixed or even worse, it
