what would be a reasonable fair price to install a sideview mirror, electric, driver

Answers from the Automotive Experts

Amanda J. Pierce, MBA The going rate is approx. $80 an hour. The repair should not take any longer than an hour to install new mirror.

Lori Johnson, Owner and Instructor at Ladies Start Your Engines Dear Pam, You would need to find out the labor time that the shop is charging. This job typically takes about an hour. As for the part, if it's painted then you may have to get it from the dealership, or buy it and have it painted. This would vary the cost. An after market mirror could be anywhere from $40-$80 just for the part, and will not be painted. I would recommend that you call around and find your best deal. Lori Johnson
