CHECK ENGINE LIGHT..
I have recently replaced my alternator, a new battery, and a rebuilt dashboard cluster.
I had a diagnostic which read my engine to be operating well.
The mechanic was not the best, as He mixed up the fuses under the dashboard.
I get the annoying check engine light now, and It never came on before the repairs.
The lights on the dash did not work when then gave me my car, I had to take it back to them, lights now work, along with the check engine light.

The check engine light comes on when there is a problem with one of the sensors in the vehicle. In order to find out what is wrong you are going to have to have a technician connect a scan tool to your vehicle to read the code.
After you get the code, they'll be able to make a proper diagnosis.
It may have nothing to do with the work you had done previously.
