I have a 1998 Audi A4 2.8 V6 Quattro and just the other day I was driving home and I noticed that the airbag light went on and I wanted to know what could be the biggest problem or could it be something simple? what would it cost me to repair?
Unfortunately there is not an easy answer for your question. When the air bag light is on it means that there is a problem in the system. The only way to find out what that problem is, is to connect a scan tool to the vehicle and get the code. This code will tell them where to look for the problem.
It could be something as simple as a bad ground connection or it may be a bad component.
I would suggest that you take this vehicle to a dealership to get it diagnosed since they will have the most experience in finding your problem.
